Atlanta is known as the city in a forest: rolling Piedmont hills under a canopy of oaks and pines, with the Chattahoochee along its northwest edge and a phoenix on its seal beneath the motto Resurgens, rising again. Spring comes with dogwoods in bloom and a coat of yellow pine pollen on cars and porches, and summer means long, humid evenings on the patio.

This is Atlanta's sponsored board: one page where the city's businesses, events, venues and causes put themselves in front of people looking for what's happening locally.

Every ranked listing on this board is a paid placement. Sponsors bid for a spot, and the order is set by one thing only: the total each sponsor has bid in the current round. Nobody is ranked by reviews, editorial picks or an algorithm. Outbid a listing above you and you move up; the next sponsor can do the same.

How is the order decided?

By the total each sponsor has bid in the current round, highest first. Nothing else moves a listing: no reviews, no editorial picks, no algorithm.

Does a business have to be inside the Perimeter to list on Atlanta's board?

No. ITP or OTP, inside I-285 or outside it, the board is for anything with an Atlanta connection: a shop in Decatur, a restaurant in Marietta or a service business in Alpharetta, Duluth or College Park belongs here as much as one in Midtown. Listings are reviewed against the board's rules, and ones that break them are removed.

Can a food truck, church fundraiser or neighborhood nonprofit take a spot?

Yes. Any business, event, organization or cause with an Atlanta connection can list: a food truck, a weekend market stall, a church fundraiser, a porch concert or a tree-planting day as much as a storefront. Each listing links to the sponsor's own site and is reviewed against the board's rules.

What does a spot on the Atlanta board cost?

The minimum bid here is $5. You choose your bid, a service fee is added on top, and checkout shows the full total before you pay. To move up, raise your bid; you pay only for the raise. When a round closes, its final order is kept in the board's archive and a new round opens.
